Start oven at 350F (180C). Large parchment-wrapped or lightly greased baking sheet. Mix oil, soy sauce, and spices in a large bowl. It turns paste-like brown.

Step 1
Finger-crumble tofu in seasoning bowl. Stir seasoning into tofu crumbles to coat evenly. Put tofu crumbles on the pan evenly. Bake tofu for 30–35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Watch near the end to avoid burning. Brown tofu. For texture, smaller crumbles can be darker than larger ones.

Remove tofu crumbles from oven and mix with ¾ cup salsa in a pan.

It depends on how watery the salsa is and how wet you want your tofu crumbles. Serve hot in burritos or taco shells with toppings.
