Cinnamon Latte Recipe

These Cinnamon Lattes are sweet, creamy, and frothy with warm cinnamon spice and whipped cream and cinnamon for a cozy coffee drink that tastes like the coffee shop favorite!

INGREDIENT

For the cinnamon syrup: – 1 cup water – 1 cup brown sugar – 3 cinnamon sticks, broken in half – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For the lattes: – 2 shots (3 oz) espresso or 4 oz. strong brewed coffee – 1 cup milk, (whole, 2%, or oat preferred) – 2 Tablespoons cinnamon syrup, more or less to taste, recipe below – Whipped cream or whipped dairy topping – Ground cinnamon

INSTRUCTION

For the cinnamon syrup:  Mix brown sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly while you cook until sugar dissolves.

Step 1

Stop cooking and cover the pan. For better flavor, steep the mixture for at least one hour or up to four. Remove the cinnamon sticks, whisk in the vanilla, and refrigerate in a tight jar until use.

Step 2

For the lattes: Heat milk in the microwave or stovetop until steaming, not boiling. Add cinnamon syrup to milk and use a milk frother.

Step 3

You can also froth milk another way. Add cinnamon milk to a mug with espresso. Sprinkle cinnamon and whipped cream on top.
